A Summer Love Letter from Maja
I raise my glass to summer! While I am forever a champion of setting a beautiful table, I also adore entertaining alfresco --- savoring the late evening light and the scent of a world in bloom. My favorite time of year in California is the end of summer where it extends deep into fall.
I was recently honored to be featured in Santa Barbara Magazine about Found by Maja and my passion for summertime hosting.
Maja’s Top 5 Summer Entertaining Tips
1. Embrace informality with materials like rattan. Mix it up! Your best silver, garden flowers, and rattan trays create an easy kind of layering.
2. Carpe diem: use the good stuff! Celebrate with the good china and embroidered placemats. Honoring my guests with a beautiful table is truly my love language.
3. Champagne on bar carts, chilled and abundant! I love to serve Champagne in vintage coupes. I keep a chic bar cart near by, making it convenient and avoiding a crowded tablescape.
4. Set a beautiful table with intention. Creating a layered table is an art form when assembled with a personal touch and found treasures.
5. Linen means I love you. Even if you’re serving potato chips (with your caviar?), nothing says attentive like a gorgeous linen tablecloth and napkins.
We have some exciting Found by Maja news on the horizon to share very soon. Please stay tuned!
In the meantime, go forth and celebrate the glory that is summertime as it come to a close.
With love,
Maja and team
