Aldo Tura is well known as an experimental furniture designer that has been involved in the production of tables, cabinets and lamps since the 1930s. In 1939 he founded his own furniture workshop in Lombardy, near Milan. He used a variety of unusual materials such as eggshells, Parchment, goat leather and wood veneers in his designs. His objects often held in the colors red, green and yellow and a rare dark blue or violet, and were occasionally also provided with wheels or casters as well as bronze or brass fittings.
