Émile TESSIER Malice 1887 -1971
In 1924, Emile Tessier founded the Faïenceries d’Art de Malicorne and quickly imposed the innovative technique of openwork in his workshops, quickly making his productions famous.
Malicorne is located in the south-west of the Sarthe department, and has had the reputation of being “a land of earthenware and sandstone” since the 18th century.
The decorations of the pieces take up the classic and traditional motifs of the great French and European earthenware factories.
