Summerill & Bishop European linen line: ‘Amour Bonheur’

This beautiful 100% linen tablecloth.

The enchanting illustrations that grace this delightful design have a charming, hand-painted allure, inspired by a vintage Summerill & Bishop glass tumbler etched with the words ‘Amour Bonheur.’

The message of ‘Amour Bonheur’—love and happiness—playfully stretches across the table, ensuring that no matter where you’re seated, you can bask in its warm glow. Hidden treasures lie within the ornate patterns: sweet hearts symbolize ‘love,’ while those very hearts unite to form clovers, embodying luck and echoing the joy of happiness. Olive branches and leafy vines weave together in endless chains, signifying everlasting love, while playful bows represent bonds and the delightful notion of coming together.

This charming collection includes a tablecloth in three sizes and a matching napkin, all crafted from 100% pure French linen.

A little message about our printed linens…

Linen is much loved for its natural and irregular look. We’ve developed techniques in our manufacturing process to relax and soften the textured surface of the fabric, meaning your tablecloth and napkins may feature some small white spots and areas of fading on its printed surface. These irregularities are normal and make each item entirely unique.

 Care Instructions:

Wash at up to 60 degrees on a regular cycle (avoid “eco” or longer cycles).
Never soak for longer than 10 minutes and avoid using Vanish and other whitening products.
Tumble dry at 70 degrees for a soft effect, and 90 degrees for a more crushed finish.
We don't recommend ironing the full cloth in order to keep the linen’s lovely crumpled texture intact, but we do like to iron the edges to give it a sharper edge.
